Timesheet Calculator Online – Track Work Hours & Pay

Advanced Timesheet Calculator

Work Entry 1

The Timesheet Calculator is a versatile and practical tool designed to help you track work hours across multiple entries without the hassle of manual calculations. Log your work by entering the date, start time, finish time, and break duration for each entry, then set your preferred overtime method and pay rates to get a complete picture of your total hours worked, regular and overtime breakdown, optional earnings estimate, and a detailed breakdown table. It includes built-in input validation, flexible entry management, and a reset option for starting fresh whenever needed.

What the Calculator Measures

  • Regular Hours are the hours worked within the set overtime threshold — for example, up to 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week depending on your chosen method.
  • Overtime Hours are any hours worked beyond the threshold, calculated separately and eligible for a higher pay rate if entered.
  • Daily Threshold calculates overtime based on how many hours are worked in a single day — any hours beyond the threshold in that day count as overtime.
  • Weekly Threshold calculates overtime based on the total hours accumulated across the entire week — overtime kicks in once the weekly total exceeds the threshold.
  • Break Duration is subtracted from the total time between start and finish to give the actual hours worked for each entry.

How the Calculation Works

  • Add your first work entry. Fill in the date (day, month, year), start time (hour, minute, AM/PM), finish time (hour, minute, AM/PM), and break duration in minutes if applicable.
  • Add additional entries (optional). Click “Add Another Entry” to log more work days or shifts. Remove any unwanted entry using the “Remove Entry” button — the first entry cannot be removed.
  • Set your overtime method. Choose either “Daily Threshold” to calculate overtime per day or “Weekly Threshold” to calculate it across the full week.
  • Enter your threshold. Type in the number of hours that triggers overtime — for example, 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
  • Enter pay rates (optional). Input your regular hourly rate (e.g., $20/hr) and overtime rate (e.g., $30/hr) to receive an earnings estimate alongside your hours. Leave both at 0 if you only need the hour totals.
  • Click “Calculate Timesheet.” The tool processes all entries instantly and returns the full result.
  • Review your results. The output includes:
    • Total hours worked across all entries.
    • A regular and overtime hours breakdown per entry and in total.
    • An optional pay estimate based on your entered rates.
    • A visual summary card displaying key totals at a glance.
    • A detailed breakdown table listing date, start time, finish time, break duration, regular hours, overtime hours, and total hours for every entry.
  • Click “Reset” to clear all entries and settings and start a completely fresh calculation.
